Overall Objective: Students will learn new food names and improve their writing skills.

Language Objective: Students will use new vocabulary (such as bananas, grapes, beans, peas and melons) and known words (such as fruits, vegetables, sweets, apples, lemons, oranges, ice-cream, carrots, peppers, lollipops, cakes.) and arrange them according to fruits, vegetables and sweets.

Civic Education Objective: Fruits, Vegetables and Sweets.

Curriculum Connection: English curriculum Grade 02, Objectives 02.4, 02.6, 02.7,02.11, 02.13.

Class Context and Needs: Elementary classroom, basic level learners.

Materials: CDplayer, blackboard, flashcards, Pupil’s Books and Handouts.

Activities: Warm up, Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing.


Assessment: Students fill the chart.
