ELCE National Conference

On June 1, 2013, a full day ELCE National Conference hosted 90 ELCE alumni from seven regions of Georgia (five ELCE teachers per region per three program cycles) and guests from the U.S Embassy, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and various national and international organizations.

During the conference program alumni showcased their learnings and the new teaching materials they have designed. They had an opportunity to present their experience of participation in the ELCE to the broader ELT community in Georgia.

WHAT IS THE 2013 ELCE NATIONAL CONFERENCE?

The 2013 ELCE National Conference is a day of engaging and open conversation, success stories, networking and presentations from high-performing ELCE participants and alumni. PH International, all seven regional ELTTs, ETAG, the Georgian media and the US Embassy Tbilisi (ELCE is fully funded by the US Embassy Tbilisi) will be in attendance.

ADMISSION TO THE 2013 ELCE NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Admission to the 2013 ELCE National Conference is by invitation only. Your ELTT will issue invitations.
All seven regions of ELCE (Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Ozurgeti, Gori, Rustavi and Telavi) will be equally represented.
For additional details or information about participating in the National Conference, please contact your ELTT.
Selection by April 30.

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

ELCE National Conference: Highlighting Successes
Your ELTT will be presenting the lighter side of ELCE. Participants are asked to present serious, professional presentations/demonstrations with practical and concrete activities that have been used by ELCE participants.
Presenting at the National Conference:

You will have 15-20 (PER REGION) minutes to talk about how the ELCE program has affected your teaching. You should offer specific examples of techniques or activities in class.
  • We would like success stories from your classroom and community
  • You could select some pictures for a slide show that represents your region and classes.
  • You can also include video clips or materials that you used
  • You can also present with a partner from your region
  • You can do a dialogue or a skit
Please have your topic and idea to your ELTT by May 10th.
