The Oktomberi Project Rolls On

Your contributions to the Traveling Teacher Guides and support of ELCE have helped to start to rebuild a school in Georgia.

Working through Zugdidi-based NGO Atinati, a generous contribution from the Aasland Foundation of Norway, and moral support of the US embassy in Tbilisi, Traveling Teacher Guides made a substantial contribution to new windows on the ground floor of a severely damaged school outside of Zugdidi, Georgia.

The project also encouraged students to request assistance from and petition their local government, who contributed addtitional funds and new desks.  The local community also was involved, and parents and students painted the hallways and created new curtains for the classrooms.

We do good stuff.  Caucasus Georgia guide 20.13 out shortly!
