#11 Third Competition for Teacher Generated Materials / National Symbols / Grade 5-6

Overall Objective: Student will be able to search, speak, write and share information about National Symbols.

Language Objective: Students will be able to practice in simple tenses

Civic Education Objective: The Statue of Liberty and Kartvlis Deda

Curriculum Connection:

Class Context and Needs: I don’t have spetial need student.

Materials: Pictures of statues, 2 leptops, handouts.

Activities: Word game, searching, speaking, writting.
  
Assessment: Filling in special form and make a presentation.

Overall Objective: students will be able to search, speak, write and share information about national symbols, using new words students will be able to make presentation about learnt theme.

Language Objective: students will practice in simple tenses and unknown words.

Teacher and students are speaking about the art , what do they learn in art, why do they like this subject, then teacher gives students sheets of papers with written letters in order to build a word wich is connected to the art and wich is a key of their lesson topic.

Teacher shows students papers into the box and the students have to guess what can these papers be. students will say their version. Then students  will take out the papers and  introduce what is it.[Statue of liberty and Kartlis Deda].

Students have to work individyally. using leptop students search information about statues according some form wich means information about authors of statues , situation, size and  description. students fill in the form.

Using Venn diagram, students compare statue of liberty and Kartvlis Deda each other according different and similar.

Students have to compare statue of liberty and Colossus of Rhodes. useing Venn diagram again.
