#7 Second Competition for Teacher Generated Materials / Characters / Grade 10

Overall Objective: Students will be able to describe and compare the characters.

Language Objective: Students will be able to describe, identify and compare characters using new vocabulary

Civic Education Objective:  Students will learn about Rosa Parks and 
Martin Luther King and will make comparisons.

Materials: board, paper, pen, handouts.

Activities: warm up 5min, gap filling 5 min, pre-reading vocabulary 5min, reading 15 min, word matching 5 min, venn’s diagram 10 min

Teacher gives the students biography of Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King. The students read text carefully

The students match   new words with the definitions.
