Gorgasali
The
holy and right believing king Vakhtang I ascended the throne of Kartli
at
the age of fifteen.
He
was remarkable in faith,wisdom,grace,virtue and appearance. He spent
Many
nights in prayer and distributed alms to the poor,in this way dedicating
his
life to God. King Vakhtang could fight tirelessly in Battle ,vested in armor
and
fully armed, he could carry a war-horse on his shoulders and climb from
Mtskheta
to the Armazi Fortress in the mountain outside the city. On foot he
could
outrun a deer. A holy King was judicious in politics,displayed a sense of
calm
even when critical decision needed to be
made.
The
source of appellation “ Gorgasali” for King Vakhtang was his military
helmet.
The front of the helmet depicted a wolf and on the back a lion,wearing
such
a helmet Vakhtang was easily visible for foes who upon seeing it would
cry
to others: “Dur’az gorgasar”, “Beware of the wolf’s head”.

Nelson Mandela
Nelson
Mandela was a South African politician who served as a President
of South Africa . He was South Africa ’s first black chief executive and
the
first elected in a fully representative democratic election.
The personal integrity helped him to win the
elections. “ I was not a messiah
but
an ordinary man who had become a leader because of extraordinary
circumstances.”-
Nelson Mandela. While attending
universities Mandela
became
politically active in non-violent student movement. The strongest
characteristic
of Nelson Mandela would be a defiance.
Mandela
became a cultural icon of freedom and
equality comparable with
Mahatma Gandhi.
Nelson Mandela was a charismatic leader, he was one
of the greatest
and
most influential figures of the 20th
century.
