On May 19-20, PH/Georgia hosted the CTEL Program Final Conference. The conclusive event of the program was held at Radisson Blu Hotel in Batumi and gathered over 120 attendees, 76 of whom were also presenting during the conference that aimed at sharing best practices and lessons learned accumulated throughout the pilot initiative in the regions of Kakheti and Adjara.
As demonstrated by conference presentations, the alumni teachers made tremendous strides towards delivering integrated lessons and in a meaningful and effective manner, sharing responsibilities and co-teaching effectively. The overall ability to plan a session with a lesson/activity demonstration followed by processing was strong. Their ability to facilitate and ask the right questions had also markedly improved. The topics they chose demonstrated a clear awareness of what their fellow Georgian teachers need.
